As a singersongwriter, Katie has accomplished the release of two folk-rock albums and has performed at many venues, festivals, radio stations and morning television shows across the prairies promoting her music, including a highlight of opening for Chantal Kreviazuk. Katie's live performances include many combinations, from solo with her acoustic guitar and stack of harmonicas, to duo, trio or as a four piece band. Either way, Katie's reflective songs shine through as she connects with her audience with her heartfelt lyrics and intimate voice.

It is hard to describe in words how it feels to experience such a heartfelt offering of an artist’s thoughts and life experiences delivered in the form of harmony, poetry and theatre…wow is all I can say!!" ~ Penny Swartz, Qu’Appelle Valley Centre Of The Arts Supporter (Fort Qu’Appelle, SK)
“Katie is one of my favourite Saskatchewan artists: when you hear her play live, I guarantee she will become one of yours! Few others blend amazing music with delightful vocal ability the way she does. Enjoy the goose bumps!” ~ Christopher Mercer, Founder/Curator of MusicReginaLive.ca., Regina, SK
“I had the pleasure of seeing Katie twice recently - once opening for Chantal Kreviazuk and once at the Cathedral Village Arts Festival. No matter whether she is on the big stage with sound and lights, or simply by herself with her acoustic guitar, Katie is captivating. Her music is beautiful and her lyrics are honest and evocative. I can't wait until the next chance I get to see her perform!” ~ Brandi Good, Social Media Trainer, BLG Business Solutions, Regina, SK.
In 2015,, Katie released her debut album, Silverflower, with it's first single, Prairie Sea, featured as the theme song for Saskatoon's Embrace Theatre’s family production that toured Saskatchewan’s provincial parks in the summer of 2015. A New Day was released in 2016, featuring songs more personal than ever before: "The relationship Katie has with music leaves one feeling that the music can indeed create the self." ~ Angela Shaffer, punchland.com (Brooklyn, NY). In an interview with Tara Thompson, canadianbeats.ca, Katie says, "The songs that made this album are more honest and personal than ever before, and if I can reach out to people through my music in making them feel less alone in their struggles through life, then I will feel like I've really accomplished something." Katie has made A New Day a platform for mental awareness with half of the album sales being donated to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
