It is so gratifying after going through all the organizing for an event, to see it turn out to be an overwhelming success! I hosted a Tribute Night To Gord Downie & Tom Petty on Nov 23, 2017 to a packed house at the Maple Leaf Theatre in my hometown of Esterhazy, Saskatchewan. We have an amazing wealth of talent in our neck of the woods & I am so thankful for all of the talented performers that came out and had me and others singing along to the music. It was such a feel-good-warm-fuzzy evening of bringing people together with music. Thank you also to the generosity of everyone who came out & donated at the door and entered our Long Time Running t-shirt raffle, raising a total $1325.60 for the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack fund.
